The Last Hunger Games-

I don't know how many people are still reading this. I'd love to hear from you in the comments below if you'd like for me to continue the story.

First off, you have no-oo idea how hard it is to parody Twilight! I'm not saying i don't want to, because i do.

See, you have to read the bloody book, which is tortuous in itself, and then wonder how you can make a story that's already a parody of itself into a parody.

I have come up with a third chapter but i'm not satisfied with it.

So i know that my writing in the last hunger games series has been... mediocre. I've been taking the story very flippantly and not considered it serious writing because It's just fanfic.

But here's one thing about fanfics- even if the story sucks and the characters and background are all borrowed, if the author takes it seriously enough, it can be beautiful to read and of course the author gains a lot of knowledge on how to write well.

so i'm going to use this fanfic as practice.

this roughly means-

1 After the interview with Flickerman, subsequent chapters may take a while longer to be posted up.

2 The writing style will likely change unless i see a reason to use the style i've borrowed from Collins now.

3 The story will still be posted up chapter-wise, but the chapters will be edited and decided before so that the entire story is cohesive.

4 I may switch from Selene's POV to an omniscient voice. ie, instead of saying, I ate a lizard you'll read, Selene ate the lizard

5 I hope that my readers, however few of you there are, will critique my writing because i genuinely want to improve.



That aside, i feel quite nauseated by fanfiction in general right now thanks to Cassandra Clare and her HP debacle. In case you wondered, she was a fanfic writer and wrote out a trilogy of Harry Potter fanfics based on Draco. She ripped and plagiarized from popular authors and TV shows in her fanfic and never credited them and when she was kicked off fanfiction.net for plagiarizing an entire scene off a book, she and her fans created an uproar over 'unfair treatment'.

this hog went on to write the Mortal Instrument series which was intended to be three books long at first. Once she realized her fans were willing to shell out dollars for more, she shamelessly changed the trilogy into a set of six books, ie, she's writing three more books.

she's also written another trilogy BASED on the mortal instruments series. AND she's planning on writing ONE MORE trilogy based on her mortal instruments series AGAIN, only this time, in a new city.

and the joke about the whole matter?

Her mortal instruments series was a rip off of Harry Potter.

Ugh. that people like this would be rewarded with a publishing deal and a ton of ignorant lust-fueled fangirls!

i plan on writing an entire article with humorous undertones about how to get published following crap authors like E.L.James (the twilight fanfic writer), Stephanie Meyer (the woman who ruined romance) and Cassandra Clare.

I'm also compiling a list of all the things that Mortal instruments has in common with Harry Potter and it's daughter series, the Clockwork Angel.

So it's been a busy week for me with DA. I recently found one of my IRL friends here...after a year of having known her!

And my Hunger Games fanfic is keeping me busy.

I've been having a lot of support here for it and you have no IDEA how much it motivates me.
because now, i don't only write for my own pleasure, i'm writing for you guys too!

anyways, with your motivation and my own crazy addiction to my story, I've managed to write out a draft for many chapters.

Selene Snow is almost in the arena and will be changing quite a bit. Her real personality will begin to come out soon.

I'm sooo thankful to the people who've been reading, favving and commenting on my story!

man, DA denizens are into some crazy stuff...not all of 'em, just a few


so, I've been on here for a while now and i've noticed that every few weeks, DArtists take up a new obsession- kinda like a viral going around.

once one person does it and gains a little fame everybody's got to jump onto the bandwagon

the thing is, the obsessions are dropped and exchanged every week. Very fickle interest i guess

so anway,

about a  few months back, SOPA was the trend of the day. everywhere you went people had scrawled on walls 'Stop SOPA! Let piracy flourish...cause we aint got any other excuse for it '. but no, i love the stop SOPA thing.

but that's just it!

one day everyone is publishing slogans and has changed their profile to indicated their distaste of the act and the next you see profile pics returned to self promoting art and SOPA is all but forgotten, lying on the backburner...probably burnt to a crisp


the next big thang was Kony 2011. duly forgotten in a week


lately i've been noticing a lot of weird stuff- not bad, just out of the ordinary

One thing i hate is

NUDE 'ART' PHOTOS-

okay i'll admit it. Nude photos or drawings can be art as long as the artist focuses on the art and not the vulgar nudity. unfortunately, a lot of artists dont do that.

I've seen a lot of pics of women wearing scanty lingerie and posing in pretty vulgar poses with a very unconnected phrase below the it that functions as a title.
I don't care about women in lingeries, however scatnity or nonexistent it may be. im a girl myself and I'm not jumping out with a feminist spear in hand. I dont really think that posing in the nude is empowering or depreciative, underwear is a necessity and there the topic rests. obviously underwear needs to be advertised


BUT when people go about postin vulgar pics shrouded in the name of art it really jiles me. I mean, if people want to look at that, they know where to go,

People dont have to post such pics in a public gallery just to get on the 5 minutes of fame bandwagon

secondly, there are little kids on this site! the least people should do is to mark these pics as 'mature' so that children dont come across them. I mean, there are really vulgar pics out there in a gallery viewed by little kids.



whew! whatta-rant


anyways. that's that. at least i got some off my chest.
